Ans: The passport booklets are printed in India. Therefore it normally takes upto one month to render this service. Usually we are able to deliver the service within three weeks.

Ans: The Indian driving license is valid in this country on the basis of a certificate of validity issued by the Consulate. Ans: Status of passport application can be checked on BLS International website. Telephone calls to the Consulate by applicants to check status of their applications are not encouraged. You may however send an e-mail which will be promptly responded to. If the consular officer needs any additional information, you will be contacted on the number indicated on the application.
Q 5. What is the longest duration a OCI card holder can stay in India.
Ans: OCI card holder can stay in India for any length of time.
Q.6. What type of documents would be necessary to obtain OCI card?
Ans: Any document that establishes that the applicant or his/her parents or grand-parents were citizens of India. Documents such as the birth certificate, school or college leaving certificate, property document or ship document on which he/she/parents/grand parents traveled to South Africa would be acceptable documents.
